Article in Evening Star, 10 October 1902, Meeting of the ladies of the Spanish War Veterans at Spanish War Veterans Hall, 612 E. St., NE. Object of organizations is to help veterans of the Spanish-American War. The Ladies Auxiliary of the United Spanish War Veterans (A.U.S.W.V.) was a support and service organization for women who were related to veterans of the Spanish-American War, the Philippine Insurrection, and the Chinese Relief Expedition. This included spouses and daughters of the veterans. Records are kept at the Public Library in Denver Colorado. This paper was probably collected by Oscar Emerick, as he served with the US Army as a teacher and civilian suveyor in the Philippines.
